Fire on Water
Harnessing two opposing elements.
As the nucleus of a congregating rear patio space, a reflective meditation pool features a first-ever “Fire-on-Water” feature. This one-of-a-kind “floating fire” appears to erupt out of a metal sculpture opening up to an illuminated, textured glass panel complete with a fir mantle, metal I-Beams and custom lighting.

Pulling elements from the home’s interior design, the landscape creates harmony from the inside out. 8’x8’ stone slabs, hand-made Sawn & Flamed steps, artistic retaining walls, cobblestone driveway and patio details, metal privacy panels, custom woodwork and gas lanterns create a contemporary palette complemented by rectilinear, mass plantings for a dramatic impact of colour and texture.

Offering a totally blank slate, this new home’s untouched building lot required everything a comprehensive landscape project demands: site analysis, solstice study, drainage, environmental stewardship, grade retention, water-feature, hot tub, sunken patios, screened patios, decking, plantings, large trees through to design and material(s) detailing.

Extensive engineering and prototyping were required in order to build the custom water feature.
Bespoke stonework and custom steps were made on-site.
The entire pool was designed and built by Landmark, including all rebar & concrete work, plumbing, auto-fill valve, pumps and sand filter.
