Sailor's Delight
An estate with “cottage” appeal
Tumbled cobblestone pavers, black granite gravel, and traditional plantings enhance the home’s charming “cottage” aesthetic. We maintained the existing vegetation along the road for privacy and interest, removing nuisance plants as necessary.
Shoreline restoration
The abandoned, desolate shoreline presented both an opportunity and a challenge — it needed to integrate naturally with the adjacent waterfront while providing comfort and functionality. Rising water levels demanded adequate shoreline protection, including beach clean-up and full restoration.
Extensive erosion control
The home needed extensive erosion control measures for grade transitions and protection from the mighty north winds and waves. A combination of natural, rustic materials, stone slab steps and accent boulders — along with proper drainage — helps keep the home safe and dry.
